An excellent opener for your next trombone choir concert, Legacy Fanfare was composed in honor of and for Ray Conklin, longtime trombone professor at Murray State University. Ray’s legacy of exceptional teaching and his remarkable ability to develop not only outstanding trombonists but also extraordinary human beings left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
While somewhat rhythmically complex in the 6/8 sections of this piece, this fanfare is accessible for both smaller and larger studios and ensembles.
Duration: 1 minute and 50 seconds
Range: Trombone 1 part goes up to Bb4 twice. Bass Trombone part goes down to pedal F.
