Ceremonial Fanfare is an epic opener perfect for your next trombone ensemble concert! Written for the 2022 International Trombone Festival Opening Ceremonies by Chris M. Sharpe, this piece is a short fanfare for antiphonal trombone choir. This fanfare is orchestrated for 2 choirs of 6 trombones - choir A has 1 alto trombone (with optional tenor clef part), 3 tenor trombones, and 1 bass trombone; choir B has 4 tenor trombones and 2 bass trombones. The upper bass trombone parts in both choirs (A5 and B5) are playable on a large bore tenor trombone with F-attachment.

Length: 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Range: Alto trombone part (A1) reaches Eb5 on the last chord but stays below Bb4 for the remainder of the work. Lowest bass part features a good amount of pedals and may be more comfortable on contrabass trombone, but can be edited for players with limited low range.
